Inspect before specifying

Document the AHU model, coil condition, corrosion, contamination, drainage, access and nearby electrical components. Confirm which substrates are compatible with the proposed coating. Equipment that needs repair or replacement should be addressed before treatment.

Coordinate the shutdown

Agree the isolation procedure, work window, access route, protection measures and curing period with the facilities team. The programme should allow enough time for preparation and inspection, not only application.

Prepare the surface properly

Cleaning and preparation affect coating adhesion. Remove loose contamination using a method suitable for the coil and internal surfaces. Protect sensors, motors, electrical equipment and areas outside the agreed scope.

Integrate with maintenance

Coating does not replace filtration, coil cleaning, condensate management or preventive maintenance. Update the maintenance record with treated surfaces, application date and inspection requirements so future teams understand what was applied.

Define evidence before work begins

Agree what will demonstrate a successful project. This may include photographs, application records, coating coverage checks and operational observations. Any performance comparison should use consistent operating and measurement conditions.
